Hiding Scenarios for Cleaner Client Presentations

Simplify what your clients see by hiding scenarios from view, so they focus only on the comparison that matters.

Updated over a week ago

Overview

When presenting multiple loan options to clients, the full display can feel overwhelming, especially for borrowers who aren't financially savvy. The Hide Scenario feature lets you temporarily remove individual scenarios from the client's view while keeping all the underlying data intact. This creates a cleaner, more focused presentation that guides clients toward a decision without visual clutter.

Step-by-Step: Hide Scenarios from Client View

1. Switch to List View

  • From the Card View, navigate to the List View to see all your scenarios displayed as a list

  • This view gives you access to visibility controls for each scenario

2. Toggle Off Scenarios You Want to Hide

Scenario Type

When to Hide

Existing Scenario

When you only want to show new options, not the current loan

Individual Terms (30-year, 20-year, 15-year)

When you want clients to see only the comparison card, not each option separately

Comparison Card

Rarely hidden, as this is typically what you want clients to focus on

  • Locate the visibility toggle next to each scenario

  • Click to hide any scenarios you don't want displayed to the client

3. Return to Card View

  • Switch back to Card View to preview exactly what your client will see

  • Only the scenarios you left visible will appear

⚠️ Important: Hidden scenarios are not deleted. All data remains intact and accessible. You're only controlling what the client sees in their initial view.

Tips for Success

  • Start minimal, expand on request. Send the comparison-only view first, then offer to show full details if the client wants more information.

  • Pair with video. A clean visual combined with your narrated explanation keeps clients engaged without overwhelming them.

  • Use for decision-focused conversations. When a client is close to choosing, hide everything except the two or three options they're considering.

  • Remember drill-down is always available. Even with scenarios hidden, clients can click "View Scenario" to see complete details whenever they need them.

  • Unhide anytime. Return to List View and toggle scenarios back on if your client asks to see the full picture.
