Understanding Deal Details Organization

Newly created properties and templates automatically appear at the top left of your screen, making your most recent work instantly accessible.

Updated over a week ago

Overview

The Deal Details section follows a "most recent first" organization principle. When you create a new property card or clone a template, it immediately moves to the top left position. This mirrors how we naturally read (top to bottom, left to right) and ensures you're never hunting for something you just created.

How It Works: Properties

1. Create a new property card

  • Enter the property address and search

  • The system auto-populates property taxes and insurance estimates

  • Add HOA dues if applicable, then save

2. Locate your new property

  • Your newly created property appears at the top left of the Deal Details screen

  • This becomes the first option in any property dropdown when building scenarios

Benefit

Why It Matters

Instant access

No scrolling or searching for your latest work

Dropdown priority

Most recent property shows first when selecting for scenarios

How It Works: Templates

1. Clone an existing template

  • Find the template you want to duplicate (e.g., a settlement fee template)

  • Click to clone it

  • Modify the details as needed (fees, names, etc.)

2. Name and save your template

  • Give your template a descriptive name (e.g., "Weissman Law")

  • Click Save

3. Check your template position

  • Your new template now appears at the top left of the templates list

  • It becomes the first option in related dropdown menus

⚠️ Important: The automatic top-left positioning affects dropdown order throughout your workflow. Your newest template will appear first in selection lists.

Customizing Display Order

You can override the default ordering if needed:

Reordering items manually

  • Locate the six-dot drag handle next to any item

  • Click and drag to reposition items in your preferred order

  • New order reflects immediately in all related dropdown lists

Result

Drag item up

Appears earlier in dropdown lists

Drag item down

Appears later in dropdown lists

Quick Reference

Create/Clone Item → Auto-placed Top Left → Appears First in Dropdowns → Drag to Reorder (optional)

Tips for Success

  • Plan your workflow around recency: The most recent items surface first, so create properties in the order you'll work on them

  • Use descriptive names: Since items stack chronologically, clear naming helps you identify templates at a glance

  • Reorder strategically: If you have frequently used templates, drag them to the top so they always appear first in dropdowns

  • Check dropdown order before presentations: If showing the software to clients, verify your preferred items appear first
