Configuring Additional Account Settings

Personalize your Deal Details profile with professional designations, alternate contact numbers, team branding, and quick-access links to your pricing tools.

Overview

The Account Settings section in Deal Details lets you customize how you present yourself to clients and streamline your daily workflow. These optional fields help you display professional credentials, route calls to a team line instead of your personal cell, showcase your personal brand, and create shortcuts to your product and pricing engine.

Step-by-Step: Customize Your Account Settings

1. Navigate to Account Settings

  • Open Deal Details

  • Locate and click Account Settings in the navigation menu

  • You'll see your Application URL and email pre-populated

2. Add Your Professional Designation

Enter any professional credentials you want displayed on client-facing materials.

💡 Tip: This field appears on documentation sent to clients, so choose designations that build trust and highlight your expertise.

3. Set Your Contact Phone Number

By default, your personal phone number is displayed on all outgoing documentation. You can override this with an alternate number.

Calls should route to a shared line with round-robin answering

⚠️ Important: Once you enter an alternate phone number here, it replaces your personal number on ALL documentation going out to clients. Make sure the team line is monitored during business hours.

4. Add Your Personal or Team URL (Optional)

If you have a vanity website separate from your company's main site, enter it here to promote your personal brand.

This is completely optional. Your company's main website remains the default if you leave this blank.

5. Link Your Product and Pricing Engine

Enter the direct URL to your product and pricing engine (PPE) login page. This creates a quick-access shortcut when you're entering rate information in Key Metrics.

Adds a clickable link directly in the Key Metrics entry screen so you can quickly look up current rates

⚠️ Important: Deal Details does not automatically pull rates from your PPE. This link is simply a convenience shortcut. You'll still manually enter the interest rate and points after looking them up.


How the PPE Shortcut Works

When you're in the Edit Key Metrics screen and need to enter an interest rate:

  1. Click the shortcut link you configured

  2. Your PPE opens in a new tab

  3. Look up the rate and any associated points

  4. Return to Deal Details and enter the values manually

This eliminates the need to bookmark your PPE separately or search for it each time.


Finishing Up

1. Review Your Entries

  • Double-check phone numbers for accuracy

  • Verify URLs are complete (include https://)

2. Save Your Settings

  • Click Save to apply your changes

  • Changes take effect immediately on all future documentation

  • Use the team phone strategically—if you have a support team that handles initial calls, route inquiries there so clients always reach a live person

  • Keep your designation current—update this field whenever you earn new certifications or credentials

  • Test your PPE link—click through to make sure it lands on your login page, not a generic homepage

  • Brand yourself thoughtfully—a memorable team URL can set you apart and make referrals easier for past clients
